Relate is designed to collect as little data as possible. Here is what we do and do not collect:

• Quiz responses & results — processed to compute your relationship consciousness level and provide personalised insights.
• Check-in history & growth data — processed to track your progress and generate growth summaries over time.
• Payment information — if you purchase a subscription, payments are processed by PayFast. We do not store your card details. PayFast's privacy policy applies to payment data.
• Device & usage analytics — we may collect anonymous, aggregated crash reports and usage metrics via Expo / EAS to improve app stability. This data cannot identify you personally.

2. What we do not collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any account credentials.
• We do not build a profile linked to your identity.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Third-party services

The app uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• PayFast — payment processing. See payfast.co.za/privacy-policy.
• Expo / EAS — app build and update infrastructure. See expo.dev/privacy.

4. Data storage & security

We apply appropriate technical measures to protect any data processed through the app. You can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app.

5. Children's privacy

Relate is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
